Vinyl fence installation is a fairly tricky thing to do. Just like other types of fences, they must be installed evenly and with a good base that will keep them in place for a long time. One of the benefits to vinyl is that it does not degrade over time like wood does. It doesn't require as much staining, nor does it require nearly as much upkeep. Really the only reason to install a wood fence over a vinyl one is if the look will match your house. You just have to realize that it will be a little bit more work.
