Fence staining is preservation

Fence staining is a lot like staining your deck. Improvise you would with a good amount of protection while keeping its soft so that you can actually look at it, or in the case of a deck walk on it, without feeling like it's absolutely disgusting. Wood is one of those fickle building materials that tends to rot pretty quickly, so if you don't stand it be prepared to have to replace it. If you do stain it however that fence will stay there for a very very long time and still look brand new. It's almost like preserving the wood. Embalming if you will, without all of the nasty chemicals.
