Job review from Brian in Purcellville, VA 20132 on 11/08/19

I talked to a number of well-reviewed deck builders before engaging MC Fence & Deck to add a deck to our existing one. The difference with MC was that in initial conversations, they had a much stronger handle on the design process and attention to detail I was looking for. I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted, had made scale drawings and bookmarked photos; the suggestions they made were really on point and actually improved the outcome tremendously, had noting to do with making it easier for them to build. It was literally suggestions that made the overall addtion work much better with the stairs and patio. Without any hesitation I had directed MC to install a much nicer rail on the new deck addition they were contracted to build as well as our 1 year old existing deck the home builder had constructed. Due to me adding this last minute change, all the work was completed before I ever received the estimated costs for the new railings. They did a lot of work to make the exiting deck look as nice as the one they added. The final bill was less than I estimated and very reasonable, but for the craftsmanship in construction and hands-on management, I feel like I should have paid more than I was charged. How often do you say that? Terrific creative partners to work with, combined with 100% reliability and fast, on-budget execution. Great experience and highly recommend.
